Public Relations Manager / Professional Storyteller

Reports to: Vice President of Public Relations

Job Description:

The Public Relations Manager (Manager) is a professional and compelling storyteller that is pivotal in promoting, enhancing, and protecting the brand story and reputations of our diverse clientele. Manager will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive communications programs, involving communications tactics that support the overall strategy, position, and vision of our clients, including but not limited to establishing unified multi-faceted marketing strategies, media and community outreach and crisis communications.

Responsibilities:

  • A highly strategic communicator who can understand, synthesize, and communicate artfully about complex and nuanced topics.
  • Directly lead and manage comprehensive communications strategies to support client brand goals
  • Execute broad range of tactical public relations activities supporting overall strategic communications goals
  • Become an ambassador of the agency and our clients in developing relationships with media and key community groups and members
  • Craft compelling stories deployed via press releases, media alerts and other external communications pieces independently
  • Actively engage in media relations and story pitching on behalf of clients
  • Regularly monitor media engagement and other established marketing KPIs to optimize current tactics and find opportunities for new solutions
  • Work with the Creative team to provide clear and strategic direction for tactics requiring creative elements
  • Function as day-to-day client liaison for the agency with minimal supervision, managing the multiple facets of the client relationship including but not limited to managing internal and external timelines, resources, and budget.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Degree in communications, public relations or another related field
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on public relations experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong management skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Previous experience working with the media, with previous media relationships preferred
  • Ability to develop, maintain and promote professional and respectful working relationships with co-workers, clients, members of the media

Compensation:

Job Description:

Can you help? We’re looking for an Account Coordinator to help our Account Services team implement marketing plans for our clients.

We’re looking for someone who is ready to dive in head first in strategic planning, communication, and organization to keep our clients looking good. Are you forward-thinking? A planner?

Responsibilities:

Human Resources Manager (Part Time)

Reports to: Vice President of Finance and Operations

Part-Time | Exempt | Hybrid position | Salaried + benefits

Job Description:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for but not limited to managing staff recruitment and hiring, staffing logistics, assisting in personnel decision making and creating a professional development program. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and Operations and work closely with the agency’s Leadership Team as well as key employees with respective departments. The Human Resources Manager requires a sold grasp of knowledge relative to all aspects of the human resources function.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall general support of the human resources function across all employee types
  • Oversees the full recruitment process for all positions (analyze job requisition, creates, and manages job postings, initial phone screenings, advances candidates to division director, conducts detailed reference checks, makes an offer of employment to the candidate).
  • With Vice President of Finance & Operations (VP), administers personnel policies, processes, and employment contracts/agreements (recruitment, selection, hiring, employment agreements).
  • Maintain network within advertising, marketing, public relations industries to create a continuous pipeline of potential candidates for hire.
  • Drafts and implements policies to the employee manual as directed by CEO and/or VP that ensures employees are treated with fairness, respect, and dignity
  • Identifies and facilitates overall team and individual professional development program to ensure consistent professional growth for agency and team
  • Coordinates the benefits process for all employees, leads the open enrollment and qualifying event process and addresses questions or issues regarding benefits, time reporting or leave issues.
  • Consults with administrative staff about sensitive and confidential matters such as hiring, transfers, promotions, medical issues and return to work for the purpose of assisting in effective decision making and following all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Completes and authorizes employment verifications.
  • Reviews, drafts, and edits job descriptions for all positions
  • Provides a framework for performance evaluations to the administrative team and develops performance improvement plans for employees.
  • Completes all other responsibilities as assigned by the CEO and/or Leadership Team 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in human resources or business management
