Each semester, Spears Group’s Junior Associate Program seeks qualified candidates looking to gain quality experience in the areas of Public Relations / Marketing / Event Production / Creative. This is a PAID internship program and applicants can also receive course credit. Accepted Junior Associates must be able to work at least 15 hours a week and have an interest in pursuing graphic design / advertising / public relations or event production as a career. Spears Group has gone on to hire several former Junior Associates, based on their ability to demonstrate their skills, work ethic, and growth potential during their participation in the program.
The Marketing Junior Associate will work heavily with our Client Services team plan and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns for our clients. Our Junior Associate will get hands-on experience in marketing research and discovery, creating a comprehensive marketing strategy and working with the disciplines with the agency – including media, public relations, creative – to bring the marketing strategy to life.
PREFERRED MAJORS: Marketing, Business, Advertising, Mass Communications
The Public Relations Junior Associate will work heavily with our award-winning Public Relations to plan and execute campaigns involving public relations, media relations and/or community relations. Our Junior Associate will get hands-on experience in writing and pitching press releases, organizing media opportunities for our clients and creating/establishing relationships with members of the local, regional and national media.
PREFERRED MAJORS: Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business
The Creative Junior Associate will work heavily with our award-winning Creative Team to plan, design and produce creative executions for the Agency and our clients. The Creative Junior Associate will help to brainstorm creative solutions to client marketing challenges as well as design real-world projects that will be utilized by our clients, such as social media graphics, reports, print ads, etc.
PREFERRED MAJORS: Graphic Design, Art, Mass Communications
Our Event Production Junior Associate will be heavily involved in all aspects of producing the company’s signature events, which include, but not limited to, the following: National Fried Chicken Festival, Célébrez en Rosé. They will work closely with our Director of Special Events and the rest of the Events team to plan and execute these events from start to finish. They will be heavily involved in all aspects of the event planning process, including creating timelines, budgets, production, securing talent, marketing of the event, etc.
