To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Spears Group was retained by W.K. Kellogg Foundation, New Schools for New Orleans, and Sankofa Community Development Corporation to shift the narrative from devastation to transformation–elevating the critical work and stories of these organizations over the years, which represented $100M in combined investments and two decades of progress in education, economic mobility, leadership, and people-powered change. These intentional and emotion-invoking communications campaigns resonated far beyond the Gulf South, lifting authentic voices, reframing narratives, and sparking conversations that extended across the United States and around the world.
