The Orleans Parish School Board is a community of public schools devoted to educating and preparing all our students to thrive in life. For 180 years, public education in New Orleans has been a part of this vibrant and multicultural city’s complicated history.

Today, they work to be the ‘good change’ in public education; work to overcome adversity; and work to champion resilience to pursue the promise of a quality education for all students.

We created a consistent and resonant color palette that could be used as guides for future campaigns and promotional materials.

As a public entity, we wanted the brand to have its own recognizable style that would set it apart in various public settings. This was a large departure from the old brand which was very political in nature and would blend in with other similar marks.

The brands use across multiple textures was important for uniforms, merchandise, signage, and advertising.

We created business sets for internal office use and external SWAG giveaways. The goal was to seamlessly tie the brand across all uses so that every piece was recognizable yet subtle.

It was important to the client that these business uses were easy to print and use in everyday life at NOLA Public Schools but stood out among the sea of sameness when it came to typical school collateral materials.

Our work went beyond just public facing brand and office materials. We also created unique and engaging presentation templates for teachers to use as a part of their integrated lesson plans. 

This consistent use of branding was integral in the internal adoption of the new brand and building excitement around change.

Spears Group designed and developed a fully responsive website that provided a great improvement of user experience and content organization from the previous site. 

The site spans over 500 pages with a mix of interactive content, static content, and external software integrations.
