Presented by Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, the Second Annual Fried Chicken Festival will take place on Saturday, September 23 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, September 25 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Woldenburg Park. The new location is nearly five times bigger than that of last years at Lafayette Square.

Fried Chicken Festival showcases independently owned restaurants while giving the community a free festival that everyone can enjoy. This year there will be 35 vendors from across the country along with entertainment, food and family fun. Spears Group expects 100,000 attendees, which is 60,000 more than last year's 40,000.

Additionally, this year's festival will include three stages, one for the cooking demo that will be anchored by Chef Jeff Henderson, bestselling author, award-winning chef and popular speaker, and two for live performances.

Children and families can enjoy The Louisiana Federation for Kid's Pavilion, which will include face painting, spacewalks, and educational programs such as STEM NOLA.

This year's Fried Chicken Festival competition will be judged by local and national food bloggers and critics. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample some of the nation's finest fried chicken while enjoying the wide range of fun-filled, family-oriented activities provided at the fest.
