Spears Group Launches Inaugural Savor event in New Orleans

Spears Group hosted its first installment of Savor, featuring Chefs Philip Lopez and Tariq Hanna

Savor is another platform for brands to connect with their consumer's in an authentic and meaningful way. Savor represents the newest addition to the Spears Group's well-established event portfolio which includes Diner en Blanc, Fried Chicken Festival, and The Millennials, all to take place in 2017. There are plans to scale Savor across the United States in 2018.

The inaugural Savor launched in New Orleans to stellar reviews on Saturday, March 25. The sold-out event took place at Crescent Park with more than 220 guests in attendance. 

Savor featured a six-course, one-of-a-kind menu entitled "Sweet and Savor(y)," created by Chefs Philip Lopez of Root, Part & Parcel and Tariq Hanna, master pastry chef and founder of Sucre. Before the dinner seatings, guests were treated to specially-crafted cocktails from New Orleans known mixologist Star Hodgson.

Throughout the four-hour dinner and cocktail experience, attendees were captivated with a live musical performance by local singer-songwriter, Kristin Diable. Diable serenaded the crowd throughout the evening with soulful tracks from her latest album, Create Your Own Mythology.

To execute the first Savor event, Spears Group partnered with Liberty's Kitchen, a social enterprise that presents students with different opportunities to work with and learn from renowned executive chefs. The Liberty's Kitchen team greatly contributed to the flawless service and overall success of the evening. Additionally, Chef Tariq Hanna announced to the crowd that he would be hiring one of those students to work full-time at Sucre.
