During the 2016-2017 basketball season, Spears Group worked with Ochsner Health System to deliver it’s Ochsner Pregame Experience, an experiential marketing activation, which took place during the New Orleans Pelicans Fan Fest.
There were a series of four activations located on the ground level between the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the Smoothie King Center, beginning at 5 p.m. and wrapping up at game time. Included in the Pelicans experience was an engaging photobooth, basketball technique training for children taught by certified Elmwood Fitness Center trainers, a lounge area, raffle station and premium giveaways.
Similar to the Saints experience, attendees were excited to participate and pregame in the dedicated Ochsner space. More than 5,000 people engaged with Ochsner brand ambassadors, took advantage of the basketball training, relaxed in the lounge area and took home fun photos and other items including Ochsner branded sunglasses, hand-clappers, and stress balls. Along with the on-site giveaways, four lucky winners received autographed Pelicans jerseys and basketballs after their names were drawn from the Ochsner Pregame Experience Raffle.
The attendees weren’t the only winners here. Ochsner generated more than 1,000 leads for potential conversion into future patients.
