A native of New Orleans, Cleveland holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of New Orleans, and has nine years of professional experience in marketing, advertising and public relations across a number of industries.
Malana Joseph Mitchell
Director of Public Relations & Community Engagement
Malana brings more than 10 years of public relations, media, journalism, communications and event planning experience to the company. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from Dillard University and a Master of Arts Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from Kent State University.
Vice President of Operations
Ronald is responsible for managing all agency operations as well as the Social Renaissance series.
Ronald was named Promotions and Special Events person of the year by the Ad Club of New Orleans at the 2015 American Advertisement Awards.
Eli oversees all imaging, branding and creative direction. He also serves as the lead technology resource, developing creative ways to introduce technology into all communications efforts.
Mori moved to New Orleans from Chicago, where she worked as an Art Director at a marketing agency. Mori has had the experience of working with some large national clients like P&G, Kraft Foods, J&J, and more.
Before moving to Chicago, Mori studied Art and Graphic Design at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she developed her love of cheese, beer, and The Badgers. Her first design job out of college was working at The Onion, a Madison based satirical news paper.
Public Relations Account Manager
A native of Baton Rouge, Makala holds a bachelors degree in Mass Communications from Southern University and A&M College. With a strong passion for public relations and marketing background, her work ranges from campaign development, event implementation, digital media advertising, social media management, audience targeting, business development and more.
Elle M. Schmidt
Public Relations Account Manager
A native of Mansfield, Ohio, Elle holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University, where she spent four years on the varsity diving team. She brings her experience and passion for political communication to the Spears Group.
Morgan earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations from Loyola University New Orleans. During her time at Loyola, she led the PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition team to win second place in the nation. New Orleans raised, Morgan has experience in event production, strategic planning, client management, campaign implementation and graphic design.
Most recently, Morgan was named Most Promising person of the year by Ad Club of New Orleans at the 2017 American Advertisement Awards.
Reggie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus in Public Relations and Electronic Media from Southeastern University. While at Southeastern University, Reggie was a Junior Associate for the Spears Group. In his current position, Reggie supports productions owned by Spears, such as Fried Chicken Festival and Diner en Blanc, as well as client productions.
Director of Special Events
Hailing from Houston, Michelle initially moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University where she earned her a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Business. Michelle leads the newly-formed Special Events division that focuses on the continued growth of the firm's existing event portfolio while continuing to create new signature events as well as managing the event and experiential needs for clients.
Michelle has a background in events, marketing, and business development, with previous experience with SMG at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and most recently she served as Manager of Business Development.
Public Affairs Account Manager
Born and raised in New Orleans, Caitlin holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Louisiana State University. She has more than five years of public relation experience working for local and federal government agencies.She is currently the account manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. Prior to that, she was the Public Information Officer for Plaquemines Parish Government where she worked for the now Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser.
